The Head of Communications and Special Projects of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Ahuma Bosco Ocansey known in showbiz circles as Daddy Bosco has indicated that the union has been very instrumental in holding series of discussions to resolve Charter House Ghana’s GHC10m lawsuit against dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale over defamatory videos.
Speaking on the Brunch2Lunch show on Radio Univers 105.7,  Daddy Bosco noted that the decision by both parties (Charter House-Shatta Wale) to attempt an out of court settlement is a fruit of their hard work.
Earlier, Highlife musician, Kwaisey had asked his colleagues to boycott next year’s Ghana Music Awards which is organized by Charter House with support from MUSIGA, partly because the union did nothing to address the issue through dialogue thereby ending in court. He further expressed qualms with every aspect of the awards.
However, Daddy Bosco revealed that MUSIGA did its very best behind closed doors, except that Charter House had adopted a position to go to court and then listen to them later.
He told show host Abrantepa: “when the union takes a decision on a sensitive matter like this, we do not go round publicizing it. So if our members want to talk about the union, they should find out what the union has done about an issue they want to comment on. If they do not find out yet make any statement, then it looks like you are ill-informed. In this case, Kwaisey Pee was ill-informed”.
