Dancehall artiste Samini, has “enterprised” his mums pito business and made it available in his lounge/restaurant in Dansoman. He calls it the commercialization of indigenous drinks. Samini’s own way of responding to the “defaming” of the pito drink, was to promote it on his Facebook page. In a post a few minutes ago, Samini asked his fans to pass through DanceStarDom this evening for a session of live band music, mingling with special celebs, the pito and champagne combination and palmwine to Shisha marathon. Check out the photo of Samini displaying calabashes of pito at his lounge. More money in the bank for Samini then.
Do you think selling pito is a viable business. Should we maintain the “local” feeling of serving pito? or take it unto a grander scale. Your comments are welcomed on the GhanaNdwom facebook page
