Edem is on a media tour ahead of his Books N Rhymes album launch tomorrow at Holiday Inn.
On e.TV’s The Late Nite Celebrity Show, the Koene hitmaker commenting on his fashion choices said:
“Red is my favorite color but black is less expensive because you can repeat it. I was watching an interview and the CEO of UT Group, Kofi Amoabeng said he only had one black shoe.
“But I have lost count of the shoes I have but I know for a fact that on the 19th of December, I will have nineteen sneakers more because I have ordered for them online.”
Speaking on his plans for his third studio album, Edem revealed he was not going to be charitable.
“Unlike Asem, You know Asem gave away his whole album for free and that’s a kind of 50 Cent stunt. When 50 sent his album to Jimmy Iovine and he said he wasn’t interested, 50 put the whole thing online for free. But I am not giving this album out for free.  With Volta Regime and Mass Production, I was giving free copies to almost every one I met including Police Officers, Taxi Drivers and Presenters. But with this album, every copy has to be paid for.
“With this album we have tried to make the entire album an experience. The intro is very classic because it draws you into the album. The packaging is great, and when you listen to the songs in order, it feels different to when you listen to it as singles. It’s not just an album, it’s an experience.
“It’s twenty five songs, it’s an mp3 album, nineteen featured artists, eleven producers; that’s what Books N Rhymes is made of.”
The Late Nite Celebrity Show airs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
