VVIP, Tic Tac and Mzbel's former Producer ‘Goodies’ Released from Prison


Incarcerated topnotch music producer Goodies has been released from prison, StarrFMonline has learnt.
 
Isaac Abeiku Aidoo, as the CEO of Goodies Music is privately known, was, on November 26, 2008, sentenced to 13 years in jail with hard labour by an Accra Circuit Court for possessing 80 pellets of cocaine.
 
The trail judge at the time, Mr. Mahamadu Iddrissu pronounced the sentence after it took the prosecution about six months to gather evidence against the ace Music producer.
 
Goodies was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport on April 23, 2008 on suspicion of possessing narcotic drugs while going through departure formalities to board a flight to London.
 
Before going to prison, Goodies produced a tall list of hiplife artistes including Tic Tac, VIP, Sydney, Lord Kenya, Nana Kwame, Mzbel and a raft of others.
 
He also worked on collaborative projects between some Ghanaian and Nigerian artistes including 2Face and Tony Tetuila.
 
StarrFMonline.com learnt that Goodies was released Tuesday December 23, 2014 from the Nsawam prison, where he spent the past six years with fellow celebrity inmate Ibrahim Sima - CEO of Exopa modeling agency, who died recently after suffering a head injury during a football game within the prison walls.
 
The reasons for his release are not yet clear, but StarrFMonline has gathered reports that suggest he may have been pardoned.
